LINES HURT

Sometimes, those sweet lines that are meant to stir your heart can surprisingly sting. It's a strange thing, how emotions can be both healed and hurt by the very same instrument. Perhaps it's because reality often arrives wrapped in a cloak of poetry. Or maybe it's just that openness makes us prone to pain, no matter how kind the writer's goals.
